陈老娘 Chen Lao Niang: Meeting the Js on 23rd and Sister's bday dinner at Mellben

Our meeting time was supposed to be at 1pm, Bugis MRT Station. I woke up at 11.45am, texting the Js to change the meeting time to 1.30pm. JSeet also woke up late. It was raining quite heavily so JEng suggested to change our venue to Orchard.

So we were supposed to dine at Saveur, Purvis Street outlet, we realised that Far East Plaza also has another outlet. So we dine there. JEng got there quite early and queue for the seat as they don't cater to any reservation. Poor girl must be starving cos JSeet and i were caught in the traffic congestion.

I would say that the price for Saveur is quite reasonable. You may think that the portion the restaurant serve is small, but no man. The three of us were very full.

JSeet and i ordered Mushroom Cappuccino

Pork Belly at $10.90

Duck Confit at $12.90

Chicken Roulade at $9.90

Though we were full, we wanted to try the dessert too.

We parted in the evening. It's sist's birthday today. She summoned the family to have dinner at AMK Mellben. We didn't make any reservations. The queue was insane!! We queued for 1.5hour just to have our dinner. After ordering our food, the estimated waiting time for the food was an hour!

It was a night with crazy waits. Dad got irritated and he said no more dinner here.
Oh well, let's see what we have ordered for total of 6 pax. (We thought it would not be enough, but no, it was more than enough)
