I still remembered Lynn, Michelle, Priscilla and i were leading our "Kampung life" after my last paper for my diploma. I don't know why but i do enjoy teaching especially after doing my Overseas CIP in Laos - Luang Prabang with my TP mates as an IT Trainer. I told myself, i want to get a job that is relating to teaching IT! So searching for IT Trainer on Jobstreet, i came across one and it was supposed to based in school. That was the one and only resume i sent out and i told myself i
MUST get it. Was happy to get response from the company and secure an interview. I had lunch with the kampung kids on the day of my interview and Lynn offered me to send me to the company for my interview. Interview wasn't that easy also as the recruitment officer tested on how detailed you are or you can be, throwing you classroom scenarios to see how your can manage a class. To be fully accepted as a trainer, I would also have to go through the school interview. The management said I must be comfortable with the hod at the school. So another round of interview at a primary school located quite near my place. Interview panel consist of the school's principal, vice principal and the IT HOD. I remembered I was nervous. Haha. But well, didn't expect that the school wanted me too. Tadah! And I got it! So i started of working in a Primary School since October 2009 as an IT Trainer.
From there, I was still happy being an IT Trainer but i was given a better opportunity in less than a year of teaching and supposingly better prospect as a stepping stone by the school as an IT Executive. I accepted it.
Majority of the people in the school are really genuine nice. During school holidays, there would be nice teachers texting me if i need any food or lunch as canteen don't open during school holidays.
I make quite a number of colleagues - turn - friends too. I felt blessed to have surrounded by really wonderful people to work with and to learn from.
A very senior teacher who i will always admire and respect, Mrs Chow, you will never hear her complaining about work but always bubbly looking forward to work on video projects with the students, teaching students new skills whenever she can during her free time.
I also do wonder how i can become so close to my ex-boss now who i used to be so scared of her as a trainer. haha. I had a great learning experience from her while she was still in the school.
I wondered how time flies and i had to bid farewell to my colleagues there on 15 July 2013. Almost 4 years in the school.
I would like to thank each and everyone of you who has crossed path in my life, those who helped me, those who listened to my complains, those who had to tahan my nonsense, those who had to tahan my loudness, those who had... never ending list... But.. BILLION Thanks to you, you and you!
